Watch: Usain Bolt has ‘done it again’ as he creates world record for 100m in racing cars
Christopher Hanewinckel-USA TODAY Sports

Usain Bolt, the fastest man on the planet, is well known for his exploits at the Olympics level, racing in various track events. He is one of the most prolific athletes globally and is recognized worldwide.

While Usain Bolt has held on to the world records in 100m and 200m sprints for a long time, he has recently created another record for short distances in superfast racing cars.

At the ongoing 2024 Mexico City E-Prix race weekend, the Jamaican got behind the wheel of one of the electric cars and made the record for covering 100m within a mind-boggling 4.36 seconds.

Looking at the clip, it is quite clear that Bolt was fully prepared for the event. He gave it full beans from the moment he pushed the throttle and in a racing car, a time of 4.36 seconds for covering a mere 100m is quite expected.

Usain Bolt is a huge fan of Formula 1

While Usain Bolt has recently been spotted behind the wheel of a Formula-E car, he is also a huge fan of the pinnacle of motor racing. Moreover, his favorite driver is none other than the legend himself, Lewis Hamilton.

During last year’s inaugural Las Vegas GP race weekend, Bolt was seen trying his hands at several things in the F1 paddock. He also had the opportunity to meet Hamilton and they both shared a heartwarming moment.

Just like the Brit, Usain Bolt is a megastar and is respected all over the world for what he has achieved. He is a media magnet whenever he visits F1 and surely, he will be seen at some of the races this year as well.
