Is 'Madden 24' disrespecting Ja'Marr Chase with latest ranking?

Bengals WR Ja'Marr Chase has taken the league by storm, posting 168 catches for 2,501 yards and 22 touchdowns in his first two years. But is "Madden 24" giving him the respect he deserves?

"Madden 24" began releasing its player ratings on Monday and Chase is the sixth-highest rated wide receiver behind Rams' Cooper Kupp, Bills' Stefon Diggs, Raiders' Davante Adams, Dolphins' Tyreek Hill and Vikings' Justin Jefferson.

Chase missed five games in 2022 due to a hip injury and still had a career-high 87 catches and his second straight 1,000+ receiving yard season. His nine receiving touchdowns also ranked sixth in the league, over the likes of Jefferson, Hill and Kupp.

The two-time Pro Bowler's overall rating of 94 is still very good but there may be an argument to be made that he should be higher, especially paired with one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL in Joe Burrow.

The 23-year-old won the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year in 2021 and has the best Offensive Player of the Years odds in 2023, per OddsChecker.

Chase could certainly raise his rating by season's end, but Bengals fans were surely hoping he would have been rated at least a little higher for when the game drops in August.
