The Dallas Cowboys reportedly signed a tight end to their 53-man roster Thursday after placing Peyton Hendershot on injured reserve.

Hendershot has been dealing with an ankle injury. He missed the Cowboys’ previous two games. Hendershot caught one pass for three yards through his first three games of the season. With Hendershot out of the lineup, the Cowboys signed a former Michigan tight end to the 53-man roster.

McKeon is a UDFA who signed with the Cowboys in 2020. He’s played in 38 career games, two of those were in this season. McKeon has six receptions for 38 yards and one touchdown in his career.

McKeon is familiar with one tight end on the roster. Rookie Luke Schoonmaker and McKeon played together at Michigan.
