According to MLB Network Insider Jon Morosi, free agent infielder Kolten Wong is starting to gain some traction on the free agent market.
Per Morosi:
Kolten Wong’s free agent market is picking up now that Tim Anderson and Gio Urshela have signed.
Wong posted an .853 OPS in 20 games with the Dodgers at the end of ‘23, which helped the 2-time Gold Glover regain value after struggling offensively with Seattle.

All in all, the 33-year-old Wong is an 11-year veteran who has played with the St. Louis Cardinals, Milwaukee Brewers, Seattle Mariners and Los Angeles Dodgers. He's had an accomplished career, winning two Gold Gloves, but he really did fall off in a big way in 2023.
Traded from the Brewers to the Mariners last offseason, Wong hit .165 with Seattle over 67 games before being released. The team had been hoping that Wong could provide some stability to the position, but he was unable to do so. Per Morosi's point, he did rebound with Los Angeles, hitting .300 with two home runs over 30 at-bats. He made the Dodgers' playoff roster as well.
Lifetime, he's a .256 hitter who hit a career-high 15 homers for the Brewers in 2022. If he does sign with a team, it figures to be a minor league deal where he could have the chance to make the team as a bench option. If he were to get a starting spot, he'd likely be looking at a situation where a team is dealing with an injury.
