After the end of his practice round at the Augusta National, Tiger Woods would channel his inner quarterback. The golf great would make the day of a fan by throwing a ball perfectly into his hands after he yelled “I’m Open“.

Woods, who will be making just his second start of the year, was seen taking part in another practice round on Tuesday. Following the conclusion of the round, the golfer pleased with his performance, started walking off the course along with his caddie.

A fan decided to try out his luck and held his hands up in an attempt to see if Tiger Woods would turn around and throw the ball as a souvenir. Fortunately for him, the 15-time major champion did find him and decided to give the ball away.

In one swift motion, the 48-year-old showed off his arm strength and tossed the ball right where the fan was standing. Though the fan had to work hard to grab the catch in the end, this soon caught the attention of the NFL, who would shared the clip of the incident with a caption “@TigerWoods playing a little QB at @TheMasters.”

WSB-TV reporter Alison Mastrangelo would later track down the fan to learn his thoughts about the moment. The fan said after catching the ball his hand was “throbbing” and applauded the arm of Woods.

We were just there sitting. It happened to be quiet. I was just looking at him. I yelled at him, 'Tiger, I'm open!' And he kinda smirked...He throws a fastball. My hand was throbbing for a little bit. Good arm, Tiger. The fan said.

Tiger Woods confident about winning again at the Masters

Tiger Woods seems to be in high spirits ahead of the 2024 Masters. Despite the current odds against him, the golf legend believes that he can still win one more time at the Augusta National if “everything comes together” for him.

Woods will make his 26th appearance at the Masters this week. In his previous outings, he has won the green jacket a total of five-times. His last win though came back in 2019 when he stunned the world. He now believes he can pull of something like that again one more time.

If everything comes together, I think I can get one more.

Tiger Woods said.

A victory this week would see Woods tie Jack Nicklaus for the most Masters win at six and see him break the tie with Sam Snead for the most PGA Tour wins with 83. His first focus though will be on making the cut and etch a new record of making the most consecutive cuts at the Masters with 24 while teeing off with Max Homa and Jason Day.
