Titans select Jaylen Harrell with the 252nd overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft

With the 252nd overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, the Tennessee Titans have added depth along the defensive line by selecting Michigan's Jaylen Harrell

Harrell, who stands at just over six-foot-three and 250 pounds, tallied 31 tackles, 7.5 sacks, 10 tackles for loss and 31 pressures in his senior season at Michigan. He led the 2023 national champions in sacks, TFLs and pressures.

He brings an element of versatility to the Titans defensive front with the ability to line up inside and out, which is something the team lost in Denico Autry's departure this offseason.

Harrell boasted an impressive 19.9 percent pass-rush win rate last season. His physicality and pad level make life tough on tight ends and offensive tackles. Harrell possesses the ability to wreak havoc on opposing quarterbacks by recording coverage sacks, which the Titans hope will be aplenty after its offseason additions in the secondary.

His get-off ability and change-of-direction skills need to be fine tuned in order for him to continue his success at the NFL level. If Harrell can improve in those areas he has a great chance to make Tennessee's roster as a rotational piece in the trenches.

Harrell has NFL bloodlines as his father, James, played linebacker for eight seasons in the NFL with the Detroit Lions and Kansas City Chiefs.
