Kermit the Frog, Janet Jackson headline artists selected for recording preservation by Library of Congress

The Library of Congress' National Recording Registry announced Thursday the 25 new titles chosen "as audio treasures worth of preservation for all time based on their cultural, historical or aesthetic importance in the nation's recorded sound heritage." 

The selected recordings are headlined by Kermit the Frog's "The Rainbow Connection," Janet Jackson's Rhythm Nation 1814, Nas's Illmatic, Louis Armstrong's "When the Saints Go Marching In" and Kool & The Gang's "Celebration."
