Florida State lost its second straight game after blowing a double-digit second half on Saturday afternoon in Chapel Hill. The Seminoles were outscored 49-35 in the final 30 minutes of their 78-70 defeat to No. 17 North Carolina.

In the final minutes of the game, senior guard Cam'Ron Fletcher was injured while attempting a shot at the rim that was contested by UNC's Armando Bacot. Fletcher landed awkwardly after the play and crumpled to the court near the baseline in obvious pain.

Fletcher instantly began to grab at his right knee as he was surrounded by trainers from both teams. It was immediately apparent that this was a potentially serious injury. After being evaluated for a couple of minutes, Fletcher was carried off the court by his teammates in what turned out to be an extremely emotional moment.

To make matters even worse, the injury looked to be to the same knee that forced Fletcher out for the season in 2022-23. He tore his ACL in a game against Virginia on December 4, 2022. The latest ailment comes just two days before the one year anniversary of his last injury.

Prior to being injured, Fletcher accumulated three points, seven rebounds, one assist, and one steal while going 1/1 from three-point range. On the season, he's averaged 7.3 points, 4.7 rebounds, 1.0 assists, and 1.3 steals in 16 minutes per game.

NoleGameday will continue to provide updates on Fletcher's status as they become available. He was spotted on crutches following the contest.
